Water, Start, Cold, Turning, bath


Question by rocky: Why does hot water in the bath start turning cold?

Whenever i try to fill up the tub with hot water, it begins running hot and gradually starts becoming colder. So by the time that the bath is halfway done, the water is only slightly warm and keeps getting slightly colder every min. At this point, if i turn on any of the faucets in the house, hot water does not come out, it is same temperature as in the tub. We have a hot water heater and a nearly new house, i tried increasing the temperature on the heater itself, it seems to help the problem very little, if at all. Any ideas?

Remove the upper thermostat cover on HWH. See if red button on thermostat has popped.
